Managing your schedule
Appointments manages individual visits. My Schedule defines the time windows clients can book from your public page.
Appointments calendar
Switch the calendar between month, week, and day views. You can select an empty time slot or choose Schedule appointment to create a visit. Select an existing appointment to view or edit it. Dragging changes its time; resizing changes its duration. Calendar creation and movement are constrained to the displayed business hours.
The appointment type can be In person or Online. Online appointments become eligible for a video call only under the rules in Telehealth visits.
Booking availability
On My Schedule, add one or more working windows for each day and remove windows you no longer offer. The public booking flow only presents slots that fit your configured availability and do not conflict with existing visits. Independent practices are not restricted by clinic opening hours.
Appointment statuses
The status workflow prevents invalid jumps:
- Active can move to Scheduled or Cancelled.
- Scheduled can move to Confirmed, Cancelled, or No-show.
- Confirmed can move to Checked-in, Cancelled, or No-show.
- Checked-in can move to Completed or Cancelled.
Completed, Cancelled, and No-show are terminal. Use the appointment detail screen to review the current status. The current detail form does not expose a status selector or arbitrary status transitions; it edits the fields shown in the form and offers deletion where your role permits it. Status changes must come from a workflow that explicitly exposes the relevant transition.
Creating an appointment also enrolls the assigned practitioner in the client's care team: primary when the client has no primary practitioner, otherwise secondary. That membership—not the appointment itself—is the chart-access source in strict-access contexts.
