Getting started with a clinic

Virtual Clinic gives each clinic its own isolated workspace — a private portal with a dedicated subdomain where your staff and patients sign in. This page explains how to apply for a workspace and what to do once your account is ready.

Applying for a clinic workspace

Applications are submitted from the platform home page. Scroll to the provider section and click Apply to join, then choose Clinic when the form asks what you are. The form asks for:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Your clinic's name
  • Your desired subdomain (the part before .virtualclinic.online)
  • A message for the platform team (optional)

After you submit, the platform team reviews your application and contacts you directly. There is no automated approval — every clinic workspace is provisioned by a human reviewer.

Your clinic's own portal

Once approved, your clinic is reachable at yourclinic.virtualclinic.online (where yourclinic is the subdomain you requested). All sign-ins for your staff and patients happen at that address — not the platform home.

By default your clinic does not appear in the public directory. Visibility is off until you choose to opt in, so you control when (and whether) patients can discover your clinic from the platform home page.

First steps after approval

When you receive your admin credentials, sign in at your clinic's subdomain and take these steps:

  1. Add your doctors and staff. Go to Manage Users to register staff accounts and assign each person the right role. See Doctors & staff for the full walkthrough.
  2. Review your enabled features. The platform team enables features for your clinic at setup time. Check which tools are active before pointing your team to them. See Features for a full reference.
  3. Decide on patient self-signup. You can let patients register themselves on your clinic's login page, or keep registration admin-only. This is controlled by a per-clinic setting.
