Getting started as a patient
Virtual Clinic is free for patients. With one account you can find public clinics and independent doctors, book appointments online, message your care team, and keep your prescriptions and medical documents in one place.
Creating your account
You can register yourself in a couple of minutes:
- Go to the Virtual Clinic home page and select Register.
- Fill in your name, email address, and a password.
- Sign in with your new credentials.
Registration is handled on the platform's shared portal. If your clinic sent you a direct link to its own portal (its web address), you may also be registered by the clinic itself — in that case you'll receive your credentials from them and can sign in right away at their address.
One identity, one account per provider
Your email address identifies you across the whole platform, but each clinic or independent doctor you visit keeps its own record of you. Your medical information at one clinic is never visible to another — each provider's workspace is isolated by design. If you book with a new provider, a fresh patient record is created for you there automatically.
Signing in
You can sign in two ways:
- At your provider's portal — a clinic's own web address (for example
yourclinic.virtualclinic.online), or the shared portal for independent doctors. - At the platform home page — enter your email and password once, and if you have accounts with more than one provider you'll be asked to choose your clinic. You are then taken into that provider's portal, already signed in.
Either way, your session belongs to one provider at a time. Being signed in at one clinic does not sign you in anywhere else — that's a privacy feature, not a bug.
What you'll see after signing in
After signing in you land on your dashboard. Depending on what your provider has enabled, you'll find:
- Appointments — your upcoming and past visits.
- Messages — secure conversations with your care team.
- Documents — prescriptions and medical files shared with you.
- Profile — your contact details and personal information.
