Appointments

Virtual Clinic lets you book appointments online without a separate sign-up step and view all your upcoming and past visits on a calendar inside your dashboard.

Booking an appointment online

Use the booking link your provider has shared with you, or find them through the provider directory on the platform home page. Once you land on the booking page you will walk through three steps:

  1. Choose your patient type. Select "Returning patient" if you already have an account, or "New patient" if this is your first visit through Virtual Clinic.
  2. Sign in or register. Returning patients enter their email address and password. New patients provide their first name, last name, email address, and a password — your account is created immediately, with no email-verification delay before you can continue.
  3. Fill in the booking form. Provide the details of the appointment you need and submit the form.

If you are already signed in when you open the booking page, steps 1 and 2 are skipped and you go straight to the booking form.

Your appointments dashboard

After signing in to your provider's portal, go to Appointments in the navigation. You will see a calendar showing all your visits. Use the view controls to switch between month, week, and day views to find the period you want.

Click any appointment on the calendar to open its details. Each appointment is shown with one of two statuses:

  • Planned — the appointment is scheduled.
  • Cancelled — the appointment has been cancelled.

Only your own appointments are visible to you. Private appointments are not accessible to unauthorized users.

The calendar defaults to the week view when you first open the page. Upcoming appointments show in the future portion of the calendar, and past appointments remain visible so you have a full history of your visits. If you have appointments with more than one provider, remember that each provider's portal is separate — you will need to sign in to each one individually to see that provider's calendar.

Changing or cancelling

Patient-side self-editing of appointments is not currently available in the dashboard. To change the date, time, or details of an appointment, or to cancel it, contact your clinic or doctor directly — by phone, in person, or through the Messages feature if your provider has it enabled.
