Getting started as an independent doctor

Virtual Clinic lets solo practitioners run an independent practice on the same platform used by multi-doctor clinics. You get your own booking page, your own patient records, and the same dashboard tools — without needing a clinic behind you. This page explains how to apply, where to sign in, and how your visibility in the platform directory works.

Applying to join the platform

Applications are submitted from the platform home page. Scroll to the provider section and click Apply to join, then choose Solo doctor when the form asks what you are. The form asks for:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Your speciality (optional)
  • Your license number (optional)
  • A message for the platform team (optional)

After you submit, the platform team reviews your application and gets in touch with your login credentials. There is no automated approval — every independent doctor account is created by a human reviewer.

Your home on the platform

Independent doctors sign in at my.virtualclinic.online — the shared practice portal for all solo practitioners on the platform. Despite sharing a portal address, your data is entirely your own: your patients, appointments, and medical records are partitioned to your account and are not visible to any other practitioner on the platform.

You have the same dashboard tools available to clinic doctors: an appointments calendar, a patient list, schedule configuration, messaging, and (when enabled) medical records and prescriptions.

Appearing in the directory

Your profile is private by default. When your account is first created, you do not appear in the platform's public directory, so the only way patients can reach you is through your direct booking link (see Your booking page).

Public visibility is a setting managed by the platform team — contact them when you want to be listed. Once enabled, your name, speciality, and bio appear on the platform home page so new patients can discover and book you directly.
